Pirates of the Caribbean!
[Favourite actor in favourite movie..]
Aha! Those of you who know me...not necessary must know me very well....but know me enough...will definitely know what my favourite movie is....
If you don't know, my favourite movie is....... "Pirates of the Caribbean". Yup, all three trilogies of it...
It doesn't hurt that it starred.......................Johnny Depp (Full name: John Christopher Depp II), my favourite actor of all time!!!!
Well, actually, I first started watching the movie
because of him. At that time, I didn't know Pirates of the Caribbean is going to be nice. I just watch "The curse of the black pearl" cos 1) I am a movie fanatic 2) Cos' of Johnny Depp, and a little cos' of Orlando Bloom (You see, it's about that time when LOTR was showing, and Orlando aka. Legolas was HOT.)
Well, ever since I saw Johnny Depp aka. Captain Jack Sparrow, I am hooked. Cos' it's already good enough to watch a movie starring my favourite actor, but it turned out that the character he is acting as is soooooooooooo fun! Really, if this movie is done without him, it's most probably not going to be as successful as it is now. Cos he is the star of the show. He just stole the limelight away from Orlando...
Now...I am not going to start a Johnny-Depp-is-better-than-Orlando entry. Because, for me, Johhny Depp IS better than Orlando Bloom. There is no need to start an argument whatsoever. In terms of talent, and looks...I feel that Johnny Depp is the guy. So that is all it matters....
I mean, Orlando is cute and handsome....that's all....I recalled writing an entry few months back about the actors that I find handsome and he is one of them....(of course Johnny Depp was mentioned first), but for this entry, let me just dedicate once again why I like Johnny Depp (besides his looks la!) so much.....
Besides looking so handsome, Johnny is also a talented actor and he was a rock musician, as a guitarist. Well...he started out as a rock band musician (won't bore you with the details) but something happened and Nicholas Cage was the one who advised him to be an actor.
His talent in acting has always been quite hidden ever since his first successful movie Edward Scissorhands...it was since then I like him. He always acts in movies that he finds that he can explores the character with (characters with depth)...not popular movie figures. He wants to be taken as a serious actor, so when he got popular from acting in an action drama serial during his twenties due to girls worshipping him for his looks and considering him as a teen idol, he felt that he was ruined and he really wanted to escape from his pretty boy image.
Call me weird, but I find that attractive for an actor. A good-looking actor who doesn't want people to go notice him for his looks. Guess we won't get to see him in any superhero action movie. What a waste, I feel he can act as a very convincing and good-looking vampire or something...
Hence, that is probably the reason why that though he has acted in so many movies before, his diverse acting talent is not very known to people...so I am going to show some pictures to let you see what are some of the movies that he has acted in, and some of which is not very well-known...Of cos' I am not going to put all the pictures of the movies that he had acted in...just some that show his diversities...
