in love again

[The Romeo of Harry Potter]

Warning: For those of you who didnt read the seventh book of Harry Potter won't understand this entry.

A lot of my friends who have read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows have asked me whether I have read it. Those who knew I am a fan.

Now I can proudly tell you people I did! I read it within 2 nights, and it's 2 hours per night:).

Anyway, this book made me cried harder than the previous books. This is bad cos' I did cry when I read the previous two books, namely Order of Phoenix and The Half Blood Prince cos' Sirius and Dumbledore died.

I mean, I cried for Sirius cos' I felt that he led a very sad life and died just like that. For Dumbledore, it's cos he is the hero and he is so grandfatherly, like Santa Claus, so when he died, it felt like Christmas without Santa, which just feels plain wrong.

But when I read the last instalment, I realized these characters paled in comparison to him, cos his life is more sad and he is as great a hero as Dumbledore can be.

Who is he?

Gone are the days of Romeo and Jack (from Titanic)....

I dub him the Romeo of Harry Potter series(actually I personally feel he is greater than Romeo).

He is none other than......Severus Snape.

I mean, I practically cried like I lost someone dear to me (ok, ok, I know, I am pathetic, it's only a story) when he died and that I learnt about how great he was.

He is not only the most misunderstood character in the story and perhaps in the modern world fiction, but he is one of the most devoted character as well.

I mean seriously, who doesn't love a good love story whereby the male character love this one woman since they were children till the day he died, despite the fact that she is someone his kind look down upon (she is a muggle, and he is brought up in a family who ostracizes mudbloods), that she hated him after one hurtful word he said and possibly never love him at all and married the person he hated the most?

Mind you, he is supposed to be this bad guy character at first...cos' he is fascinated by dark magic...however, he still loved the girl despite whatever she had done for many years, loving her so much that he chose the right path rather than the evil one when she died under the hands of evil, protecting her son (who is none other than Harry Potter) despite the fact that he hated her husband and her son?

To me, that's greater than Romeo or Jack from Titanic, cos' even though all of them have the common point of willing to die for the woman they love, Snape carried it one step further, he is willing to die for a woman who doesn't love him, married the guy whom he hated cos' he bullied him and possibly find him disgusting not to even be his friend again.

Oh well...those of you who didn't read the book won't understand what I was blogging about...I just had to blog about Harry Potter and Severus Snape.

He is now officially my most favourite character in the Harry Potter series, after Harry Potter himself:)
